The last edition of the Golden Globes took place this Sunday and it was a videoconference where many actors were dressed up while others chose to be in sweatshirts, pajamas and comfortable clothes. Normally, the celebration of these awards is held two months before, but this time the awards granted by the Foreign Press Association were held virtually due to the covid-19 pandemic and also, the hosts Tina Fey counted and Amy Poehler.
Previously in 1984 in the category of directing won Barbara Streisand, this made her become the first woman to win a Golden Globes in this category. However, in this last edition the Chinese filmmaker Chloe Zhao won the award, in addition, her feature film Nomadland also managed to win the award for best film. This one starred Frances McDormand where they tell the story of American people who travel around the country to get seasonal jobs.
On the other hand, during the Golden Globes we could see how the comedy Borat Subsequent also triumphed in this category and even the protagonist Sacha Baron Cohen also won in the comedy performance section. In television drama categories, The Crown ranked as a favorite and actor Chadwick Boseman was honored for his role in M Rainey’s Black Bottom.

Nomadland is a film that was written and directed by Chloe Zhao and is based on the book Nomadland: Surviving America in the Twenty-First Century. This is about a woman who decides to leave her town for a trip around the western United States. Nomadland received good reviews from critics and won two awards at the Golden Globes.
Andra Day – Best actress in a drama movie
During the 2021 Golden Globes, Andra Day could win the award for the best actress in a dramatic film thanks to her excellent performance in the film The United States against Billie Holiday directed by Lee Daniels. Chloe Zhao – Best director
Chloe Zhao has managed to make history within the Golden Globes as the first non-Caucasian and of Asian origin to win the awards for best production and best direction with the dramatic film Nomadland that won the Netflix film Mank, which previously it led the nominations because it had six nominations.
Borat Subsequent Moviefilm – Best musical or comedy movie
Borat Subsequent Moviefilm is a comedy film that was written and starred by Sacha Baron Cohen who played the role of Kazakh journalist Borat Sagdiyev. Through Amazon Prime Video, this film was released on October 22, 2020 and last Sunday it won the award for the best musical or comedy film at the Golden Globes.
Rosamund Pike – Best actress in a musical or comedy movie
Rosamund is a British television and film actress who is recognized around the world primarily for her roles as the villain Miranda Frost in the James Bond film Die Another Day. Thanks to her performance in the movie I Care A Lot, she won an award at the Golden Globes celebration.
Jodie Foster – Best supporting actress in a movie
