Milan Cathedral

The Milan Cathedral is considered one of the most beautiful tourist attractions in the world and one of the ones that attract the most tourists during the course of the year. Something very interesting about this place is that it took around five centuries to complete, beginning its construction in the 14th century. It has a marble façade, sculptures, reliefs, and a terrace that has spiers decorated with niches.

If we talk about the interior of this Cathedral, we can mention that there is a statue of Bartholomew the Apostle, a marble altar in Renaissance style, and a giant organ. However, the most impressive thing about this place is the terrace from where you can see one of the best panoramic views of the historic center. An excellent recommendation that we have for you is that, if you want to avoid the lines, make a reservation to access the terrace or, if you prefer, a guide can also accompany you who will provide you with more information about the place.

Church Santa Maria Delle Grazie

Another of the wonders that Milan has is the Santa Maria Delle Grazie Church which is located 20 minutes from Duomo Square. Previously, this place was a Dominican convent and, on the wall of the dining room, Leonardo da Vinci painted The Last Supper where what stands out most is a figure with feminine features that many people say is Mary Magdalene. In addition to this, theories suggest that she was the wife of Jesus and on the other hand, Dan Brown used these arguments in his novel The Da Vinci Code.

If you are interested in visiting this place in Milan and viewing the painting of the Last Supper, we advise you to make a reservation because with the passage of time and wars, this painting has deteriorated and despite its restoration, daily access is limited.

Sforzesco Castle

Sforzesco Castle was built during the 14th century and was initially inhabited by the Austrians, French, and Spanish, but in 1801 Napoleon destroyed it. However, a century later it was rebuilt with the idea of giving it the look it had when it belonged to the Sforza family. Within this Castle located in Milan there is a wide variety of Museums among which the Egyptian Museum, the Museum of Ancient Art, among others, there are also libraries and a picture gallery.

And as if that were not enough, inside the Ospedale Spagnolo building, we can find the Pietá Rondanini, the last sculpture by Michelangelo.

Brera neighborhood

During your stay in Milan, you cannot miss visiting this Hohemian neighborhood where you will be fascinated by the taverns, cafes and cobbled streets. It is located in the historic center where you can visit Palazzo Brera, one of the most important museums in the world because it contains paintings by renowned masters from the 13th to the 20th centuries. In addition, in this neighborhood there are some of the most recognized churches such as Chiesa di San Marco, Chiesa Santa María del Carmine, Basilica San Simpliciano or the Chiesa di Sant’Angelo.

Vittorio Emanuele II

Vittorio Emanuele II is a beautiful gallery that has been dedicated to one of the most important kings throughout the history of Italy, it was built in the 19th century and is known as the Milan Hall. Its design is in the shape of a cross and stands out for the large dome that connects the Plaza de La Scala with the Plaza del Duomo. In it we can find restaurants with beautiful terraces to dine with your partner, coffee shops such as Café Biffi and even luxury signature stores.

Navigli neighborhood

If you like nightlife, the Navigli neighborhood is the perfect place for you because it gives you an excellent environment to enjoy until late at night. Navigli is also famous for the Naviglio Grande and Naviglio Pavese canals because they preserve the historical moment when Milan began to be accessed from the sea. In the beginning, it was not possible to navigate regularly because there were some problems, however, in the 15th century, Leonardo da Vinci decided to improve them and they became very popular routes.

Monumental Cemetery

At first glance, the Monumental Cemetery might seem like an open-air museum because here you will find a large number of amazing sculptures, temples, mausoleums and tombs. In the hall of fame, there are some of the most prominent figures of this country, in addition, other works that stand out from this Milan cemetery are the tower with scenes from the life of Jesus, sculptures of the Last Supper, a column of Trajan and more.

Sempione Park

Knowing the most crowded places in Milan is a perfect idea, however, if you want to disconnect a bit from the noise and hustle and bustle, we recommend Sempione Park where you can enjoy nature, do sports or have a picnic with friends. Here are large lawns, an artificial lake, an amphitheater, and the huge Arco Della Pace in commemoration of Napoleon’s victories.

La Scala Theater

La Scala theater is one of the best places in Milan that you can visit if you have a taste for music. Over time it has undergone some reforms and has been the scene of great singers such as Pavarotti, Plácido Domingo and María Callas, in addition, works such as Madame Butterfly and Otello have premiered here.

Golden Quadrilateral

In the Quadrilátero de Oro you will find some of the most luxurious stores in the world belonging to Italian designers and designers from other parts of the world. The name of this tourist place is due to the fact that it is delimited by four streets, Corso Venecia, Vía della Spiga, Vía Alessandro Manzoni and Vía Monte Napoleone.
